what we believe

God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Righteous Ruler of the universe. He is Sovereign, Pure, Holy, and completely good. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. All good things come from Him.

God has chosen to reveal Himself in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit make up the one true and living triune God.

Jesus Christ is the second person of the trinity (God the Son). He is God’s unique Son in His Divine nature. He is truly God and, in His human nature, truly man. He is the One once crucified for man’s sin, the now risen and glorified Savior and Lord who mediates between God and man and who gives us access to the Father through His intercession. None can come to the Father unless they come through Him.

The third person of the trinity. (God the Holy Spirit) He is the one who convicts and convinces men of their sin. He also convinces man of that which is right. He comes to live in us at conversion, to open our understanding to the Scripture, and to lead us into the truth.

The bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, word of God. God inspired men to write the scriptures and the bible contains the full revelation of God’s word to man. Nothing is to be added to or taken away. The bible contains no error nor does it contradict itself in any point. Therefore making it the authority on every single issue of life. The bible is a living book that changes lives when it is preached, obeyed, and applied.

Man is the crown of God’s creation. Man was created in perfection and dwelt in the presence of God in the Garden of Eden. However, man disobeyed God and sinned thus banishing him from God’s presence. Man is born in sin and has to be redeemed from sin through faith in Jesus Christ in order to be reconciled back to God. When one comes to an age of accountability, he is guilty of sinning before God and in need of salvation.

According to the bible, God created the heavens and the earth in 6 literal days.

Man is saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is available to all who will repent of their sins and believe on Jesus Christ. God desires all men to be saved. Mankind has the free will to accept or refuse God's gift of salvation.

We believe that salvation is a single event. No one can take your salvation away against your will, but that you can freely surrender it yourself. Salvation can be rejected or lost through a conscious choice to abandon faith. This is why it is important to remain steadfast and faithful until the end.

We believe in baptism by full immersion. Baptism is the first act of obedience to be practiced by a believer. It is an outward confession of faith. Baptism has no saving value but is vital to our ongoing relationship with the Lord.

The Gospel is defined for us in the word of God as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Anything that adds to or takes away from this doctrine is a perversion of the salvation message of the Gospel. The gospel is to be preached in all the world to every creature.

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ, who ascended on high and sits at the right hand of God, will come again to close the Gospel dispensation, glorify His saints, and judge the world.

The bible teaches that Satan was created by God as a holy angel whose name was Lucifer. Lucifer revolted against God and as a result was cast down with one third of the angels that conspired with him. Jesus gives us victory over the enemy. Satan will be cast in the lake of fire for eternity.

Hell is a literal location prepared originally for Satan and his fallen angels. However, since humanity’s fall, hell has also become a place for disobedient, unredeemed man who reject the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Heaven is a place currently being prepared for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We cannot fathom what God has prepared for them that love Him.

Marriage is defined for us by God and is to be limited to one man and one woman joining together in the bonds of love. Anything other than this definition is an evil perversion of God’s gift of marriage.

Life is to be granted and taken only by God himself. Life is precious and to be protected at all costs. According to the bible, life begins at conception thus making life in the womb just as valuable as any other human being.
